At CSD Technology, our aim is to assist our clients to take control of their Documents, Records and Information, in a legally compliant, and globally conforming manner.
OUR CORE FOCUS IS TO ASSIST YOU THE CLIENT TO:
· Understand where the information in your business comes from and who uses it · What needs to be retained and for how long · In what format may it be retained (electronically or hard copy paper) · How can it be converted from one format to another in a legally compliant and globally accepted manner · How to dispose of it in a secure manner protecting your clients, suppliers, staff and IP (Intellectual Property).
SOME IMPORTANT QUESTIONS TO ASK YOURSELF
· There is equal emphasis placed on the importance of RETENTION, as on DISPOSITION of records. Is this part of your policy and is it well documented and communicated to all members of your organisation? · Are you sure your records are properly and securely destroyed once they come to the end of their life cycle, including all the electronic ones and backups? (Or can they one day crop up in Litigation Discovery, much to your surprise, embarrassment and expense?) · Does your Retention Plan make provision to prevent destruction of records which relate to current or upcoming litigation?
If you answered NO to any of the above, you should contact us without any further delay! Contact us ....
Did you know? SARS will allow you to destroy hard copy paper records once it has been scanned, provided you meet certain criteria. Click here to find out more
